2007 retrospection

Generally speaking, last year was a "not bad" one. Pig year, my own year according to the Chinese zodiac sign, should be a neither excellent or terrible year to me. 2007, in retrospect, although there was few turbulence, it was still a plentiful year.

Let me look back one by one...

First, in scholar, I completed my thesis. I cannot assure it's a good work, but like my advisor said "the process is more important than the outcome," I still learned lots of things, including serious altitude and way of thinking, from the studying process. To teach is to learn, the common preaching of my young advisor, is the best description of the teacher-student relationship.

Second, in person, it was bitter but pleasant. Having Broken with my best friends and then made up lets me cherish this friendship more seriously. To make one friend to his/her heart is hard; to screw it up is flipping. That's the precious course i had by paying for it.

Third, it's amazing and lucky. I went rafting for the first time with my fellows of the lab when we had passed the oral examine. I should admit that it's rolling rather than rafting because most of the time the flow is so calm. You had to roll so heavily to move your boat that we all felt exhausted when we finished the whole journey.

At last, inevitably, is the life in military service. when it comes to my my military experience that every male is not willing to face but talks about for the rest of the life, I would say I have been super lucky. Air force, good chiefs, what else can I ask more except the long distance from my home to the base in Chiayi?
